State Fair of Texas 07

One of the things I enjoy about ministry is the flexibility in schedule. God has blessed me with a "boss" who is very family oriented and when I went up to him and asked to take a half day and take the family to Texas State Fair - he said "go"! What I didn't know was that Alasha had never been to a state fair of any kind and Jonah about lost his mind he was so excited. The fair in Texas is one of the largest in the US and we did everything from fudge, to corn-dogs, to exhibits, to rides, the little children's circus. Jonah would have been content on just looking at some of the crazy rides they have at the fair. Alasha really liked the car show and saw some nice vehicles. I look forward to taking my family to the fair in the future. It was nice to walk by the Cotton Bowl where OU beat Texas.

God Bless.

Going To Faith Quest Oregon 07

You know, there are places where is it just good to be!
I know it has taken me a long time to post this but I went home for Faith Quest. They say home is where the heart is and to be honest, I try not to "really" ever feel at home in this world. But there are places where my heart relaxes and the people with whom I engage are people looking forward to our heavenly home and it is just good to be there. One of those places for me is in Yamhill, Oregon at a camp that holds some of my fondest memories. For those of you I got to hang out with both in my old "hood" and out at camp - I love you and I look forward to the time I see you next.

Who Knew!

Alasha had been wanting to see the Atlanta Braves every since we got married. She wanted our honeymoon to be a 3 game stint at Turner Field. That is one of several reasons I love her. Anyway - 7 years after we are married we make it. Better late than never I guess!
